Here are some abandoned places that we discovered in Ukraine

Zhovkva

Founded in 1597 as a private fortified town now Zhovkva is amazing! To enter the city you must drive through the gates in the castle walls! Once inside it is like a little wonder land! Natasha and I were extremely impressed with Zhovkva and highly recommend a visit!

The town prospered in the 17th century as it was along several major trade routes. Before WW2 the town’s population was about half Jewish. After the war, there where virtually now Jews left in the city and the Synagogue had been blown up.
